The Perfect Starter Hair Care Routine For Your Teenager

Your teenager may be getting to the age where they want to start experimenting with their hair.
Whether it’s a new cut, colour or chemical treatment, I’m all for allowing them to go for it if they are willing to put in the required hair care.
The teen years are for taking risks and making mistakes with different cuts, colours, treatments and styles.
If you are going to say yes to their new look, what are the must-have hair tools they need in their arsenal?
Start their hair care routine (and let’s be honest you’re probably paying for it) with these tried and tested products:
If she’s opting for a colour treatment, steer clear of damaging box dye and let a professional take care of it in a salon.

We all probably use our straighteners too much and we are big believers in investing in ones that are as kind to the hair as possible.
The L’oreal Steampod was created in conjunction with Rowenta (your mum probably had one of their clothing irons) and uses steam to transform the hair.
Somehow, the steam doesn’t make your hair damp or frizzy and instead offers up to 91% less damage and up to 2x faster and smoother styling.
There’s a removable comb attachment so even on thick hair, one or two passes is enough.
Perfect for afro hair. Make sure you use Demineralised Water to fill the water receptacle.
Silk Pillowcase
Sleeping on silk as opposed to cotton is better for the skin and the hair and if she’s spent lots of money on colour, her hair is more fragile now.
Sleeping on a silk pillowcase can help keep the hair hydrated and will result in smoother, frizz-free hair.
