4. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
Our lawful ground of processing your personal data to send you marketing communications is either your consent or our legitimate interests (namely to grow our business).
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, we may send you marketing communications from us if (i) you made a purchase or asked for information from us about our goods or services or (ii) you agreed to receive marketing communications and in each case you have not opted out of receiving such communications since. 8. DATA RETENTION

ORDERS + PAYMENTS

Your payment details are handled by Stripe Payments, PayPal or Apple Pay which are all completely separate to our business. We are only notified when you have paid.
Stripe Payments use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to protect the security of your payment information. SSL is an encrypted link between you web server and a browser. It ensures that all data passed between the web server and browsers remain private and integral.
If you create an account and enter your payment details, your card will be stored securely by Stripe so that you can check out on future visits without re-entering your card details.
We never store or have access to your credit or debit card details.
On occasion, Stripe will send the issuing bank a request for either a £0 or a £1 authorisation to verify that the card is issued, and the bank will allow it to be authorised. This is a security measure from Stripe, to ensure that your card is chargeable, and will have no effect upon the overall price you pay for any products you purchase.
Regardless of whether or not the authorisation is declined, the authorisation request is reversed immediately. However, even if the bank declines the authorisation, some people may still see an authorisation for £1 on their credit card statement. The important thing to remember is that this is not a charge, and it will disappear from your statement; depending on the bank, it will be removed from your statement within a few weeks, if not sooner.
