Foley & The Art Of Noise - Tuesday 28 May, sessions run 11:30-13:30 & 14:30-16:30
Led by artist Albert Potrony and the Museum’s trainees, re-master works of art from the Museum’s Collections into 3D models. Learn to become a foley artist for the day, creating a soundtrack for the models using everyday sound effects. Suitable for age 5+
Interactive Sound Drawings - Wednesday 29 May, sessions run 11:30-13:30 & 14:30-16:30
Work with artist Anne Harild to create a large-scale sound drawing that you can move through, in this unique creative workshop. Experiment with new materials and explore mark-making on a large scale in response to the sounds in our exhibition Hogarth & The Art of Noise. Suitable for age 5+.
City Beats - Thursday 30 May, sessions run 11:30-13:30 & 14:30-16:30
In this special workshop learn the art of beatboxing with musician and world champion beatboxer Bellatrix. Inspired by our exhibition Hogarth & The Art of Noise, listen to the sounds of London today, then create your own responsive sounds using your mouth and body. Suitable for age 5+.
The Bells Of London - Friday 31 May, sessions run 11:30-13:30 & 14:30-16:30
Inspired by our exhibition, explore the sound of the bells of 19th-century London. Work with artist Isobel Manning to uncover the noises that William Hogarth would have heard when he was working in our city, then create your own clay bell to experiment making sounds with. Suitable for age 5+.
