Vivacious Victorians

If you've got a budding filmmaker (age 8 to 12), head over to the BFI for Victoriana, history and filmmaking.

In Vivacious Victorians Live!, kids get to emulate Victorian filmmaking at its unique best and follow in their intrepid footsteps with the use of props and green screen.

Or attend Vivacious Victorians Animation Day and get royally animated by the Queen on screen via animation software as you delve into Victorian Britain.

There's also Victorian Inventions Live-Action Filming Day where kids draw inspiration from the whacky inventions the Victorians dreamt up and look at the hands-on demonstrations of early Victorian moving-image devices. Other activities include scripting, dressing up, prop-making, filming and green screen. Films will be uploaded to the BFI Families YouTube channel.

Tickets from £37.50. Parents drop children off for the day and packed lunch, drinks and snacks must be provided. More info here.
