For the third year running, the Science Museum is holding its very popular gaming event Power UP. It’s a hands-on video game extravaganza with the best in video games, computers and consoles from the past 40 years.
It’s held in partnership with gaming specialists European Gaming League (EGL) and visitors can go on an interactive journey through the history of gaming with 180 systems and hundreds of games for both the novice and the enthusiast. Kick it old school with classic arcade games like Pong and Pacman or keep it current with Minecraft and Mario.
PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch will sit alongside retro iconic consoles like the SNES, SEGA Dreamcast and the original educational computer, the BBC Micro.
Visitors will witness for themselves how far gaming technology has advanced in the last four decades and modern innovators like PlayStation VR will provide a glimpse into what the gaming future may hold.
We went last year and the kids (and adults) absolutely loved it!
