Get creative in the Geffrye Museum's beautiful gardens with a packed programme of free activities exploring kids' adventures at home, including craft and digital workshops, multi-sensory, hands-on activities and Nursery Rhyme Time sessions for young visitors.
Special family-friendly tours of the restored 18th century almshouse will also be on offer, giving a rare glimpse into the lives of London's poor and elderly in former times (adults £5, children free).
Check out the daily schedule of activities here.
As the museum is now closed until 2020, most of the activities will take place outside - either on the lawn or under a big canopy - so come prepared for the weather!
Drinks and light refreshments will be available to buy or bring a picnic to eat on the lawn.
Children under 11 must be accompanied at all times by an adult. Many of the workshops are drop-in. Booking for timed workshops opens 30 minutes in advance of each session and places are first-come first served, so please arrive early to avoid disappointment.
Workshops will run in August only:
- Thursdays 16, 23 and 30
- Fridays 17, 24 and 31
Time: 10 am - 4.30 pm
