Veganuary Recipe: Homemade Banana Ice Cream
It might be cold outside but it's never too cold to enjoy ice-cream.
If you're taking part in Veganuary, enjoy this quick and easy recipe for homemade, vegan chocolate and banana ice cream.
You can also sneak in some extra vitamins and minerals the kids won’t even be aware of. You’ll need:
Three frozen bananas, chopped
One Tablespoon CHOC Chick Blissful Blends Heart-Warming Cinnamon and Cacao*
Handful Frozen Mango
One teaspoon ground flaxseed
Dairy free milk of your choice, we used unsweetened almond milk
1. Let the frozen banana sit outside the freezer at room temperature for 15 minutes
2. Throw all your ingredients in a blender – we used a Nutribullet – and gently whizz for a few seconds, adding small amounts of milk until you get the mixture to the consistency of your choosing. It should resemble traditional soft serve ice cream.
3. Add to a bowl and decorate with the toppings of your choice. Try chopped roasted hazelnuts and a sprinkling of chia seeds.
