As a new mum, it can be hard to find the time or inclination to exercise.

First, you will probably need childcare – or will need to find a gym with a crèche - and second, you will probably feel guilty for leaving your little one whilst you exercise. #MumGuilt

What if I told you that there might be a class or gym that would welcome your little one too?

A class where you could see your little bundle of joy and stop if he or she needed you? Sounds too good to be true? It isn’t!

Here’s a round of the best mother and baby classes across the capital:

Xtend Barre, Marylebone High Street

This gentle post-natal class encourages new mums to wear their baby in a sling or carrier, so you can enjoy working out together.

From peek-a-boo press-ups to ballet bouncing, the 55-minute class consists of gentle exercises based around dance, ballet and Pilates.

Bumps & Burpees, Lomax Gym, Chelsea

Bumps & Burpees is a dedicated pre-and post-natal space housed within the Lomax gym in Chelsea.

Run by ex-gymnast, Charlie Launder, the gym has lift access, making it accessible for prams, and babies are more than welcome to come along to all sessions.

Babies can either sleep whilst Mummy works out or join in the fun in a bouncer or carrier and cheer mum on from the sidelines.

Buggy Fit

Get a hit of fresh air and an endorphin rush with Buggy Fit outdoor fitness classes.

Based around London and the UK, the class combines 60-minutes of cardio, strengthening and toning exercises dispersed with intervals of power walking to give you an all-over workout.

Every class is different and provides new mums with the opportunity to socialise, have fun and push themselves in a positive way.

Latino Bambino

Want a fun workout that will help you bond with your baby whilst you dance ‘Latino style’?

Latino Bambino classes, available in eight locations across London, are based around fun salsa moves, which are designed to get your body moving and your mood rising (even when sleep deprived!).

Babies from six weeks old can join you in a sling or carrier – or if you are up for the challenge - you can hold them for more of an arm workout!

Get your body back to its best whilst bonding with your baby with CARiFit, an online and class-based cardio resistance workout that you do whilst wearing a carrier.

Designed for new mums with babies from 6 weeks to 1 year, there’s a series of programmes to choose from.

Choose 7-day kick-start, online virtual workouts with online expert support or live classes with carefully crafted music, punctuated with bursts of sensory music for the babies.
