Italian-Inspired Organic Baby Food

Piccolo is an organic baby food brand, inspired by the Mediterranean approach to health and wellbeing.

While we are huge fans of home cooking, life doesn’t always allow for pureed quinoa and organic broccoli so having a pouch or two on hand has been a lifesaver on more than one occasion!

We like them because they use 10% of their profits to work with charities like The Food Education Foundation, a charity which runs nutrition classes and workshops to help disadvantaged families in London give their children with a healthy start to life. They also have a partnership with the National Childbirth Trust and help provide practical support around baby nutrition to parents.

Piccolo’s founder, Cat Gazzoli, has spent her career campaigning for good, honest and natural food. As the CEO of the Slow Food Movement (in the UK) for 6 years, she’s something of an expert when it comes to food. Cat’s aim with Piccolo is to encourage healthy eating from 6 months and to introduce Mediterranean goodness in a delicious range of baby food. The range has been influenced by Cat’s Italian roots, background in food education and passion for good, honest and natural food.

Piccolo offers parents a collection of 10 stage one blends, as well as two stage one vegetable blends. They have also recently launched four new flavours in their Stage 2 collection which helps baby transition from first tastes to more complex tastes and textures.

Their website has some brilliant free recipes available, perfect for when you do have more time to spend in the kitchen.

You can buy Piccolo pouches at all good supermarkets with prices starting at £1.10.
